Why Traditional Peace Efforts Have Fallen Short
For more than a century global peace efforts have focused on political agreements and international organizations such as the League of Nations and the United Nations. These institutions were created to prevent war but conflict has continued throughout the world. The deeper causes of war do not originate in governments or borders. They originate in human minds and consciousness. Stress, fear and mistrust accumulate within individuals long before these emotions appear as violence between groups or countries. If conflict begins within people then lasting peace must also begin within people.
Pure Consciousness and Energy
Consciousness is our Thoughts. Pure Consciousness is the Consciousness of the Divine or the Soul. Thoughts Create Our Reality. Our Thoughts leads to an Outer Tangible Action which is Pure Energy or the Divine Energy in Action.
If our thoughts are aligned with stress, fear, lack and conflict, the actions of the human will reflect the same. On the contrary, if our thoughts are aligned with Purity, Unity, Prosperity, Peace, Happiness, Joy, Bliss and Heaven on earth which is Pure Consciousness, the human actions will reflect the same in the outer reality and will attract similar experiences as the vibration of the humans energetic field attracts the frequency of similar vibration.
Meditation
The World is Already Meditating but Unconsciously, means that Humans are unaware. The moment the World starts Meditating Consciously means with Awareness, there is World Peace. Meditation is a process of Conscious Breathing. When a human starts Breathing Consciously, they start controlling their thoughts which leads to Purity of Mind. Purity of Mind is Purity of Thoughts which is Pure Consciousness means Divine Consciousness or the Consciousness of the Soul is PEACE WITH IN which leads to Purity in Action which is Divine Energy in Action PEACE WITH OUT. Thus WORLD PEACE THROUGH INNER PEACE.
Interconnectedness
The entire Humanity is Interconnected with each other, with plants, animals and the Mother Nature. Each Person is the part of the Harmonious Whole. We are all One coming from the same One Supreme Source, are One Earth Family and Share the Same Divine Consciousness and the Divine Energy which make us All Interconnected.
With meditation, a human comes in awareness and pure consciousness which is the Divine Consciousness of the Soul and realises Oneness with the Source The Divine which is Embodiment of the “I AM” and Oneness of All Life as All Life has Emerged from the Same Divine Source.
Collective Consciousness
Due to the interconnectedness of All Life an Individual Meditation or Meditation by a Group of People lead to the rising of the Collective Consciousness through a “Ripple Effect”.
How Meditation Relates to Peace
Meditation reduces stress and calms the nervous system. It supports clearer thinking, pure thoughts and emotional balance and creates a more stable response to challenges. When many people in a community meditate regularly the overall atmosphere becomes less reactive and more cooperative. This is why meditation contributes to peace both on a personal level, on a societal level and World level.
Mediation to Meditation
Extensive research, including 56 scientific replications and 28 studies published in peer-reviewed journals, demonstrates that the Transcendental Meditation (TM ) practice, and in particular group TM practice, is an effective, and highly cost-effective, approach for reducing societal stress and associated crime and social conflict.
It is not surprising that reducing stress on the individual level leads to a corresponding reduction of stress on the societal level. Yet it is both surprising and fortunate that even a relatively small proportion of a population practicing this powerful, stress-reducing technology in a group produces a disproportionate and demonstrable reduction in societal stress and its associated crime and social violence. The meditating group generates an extensively documented “Spillover or the Maharishi” effect of orderliness and calm in the surrounding society – A Ripple Effect.
Example of Applying Transcendental Meditation for Peace
Transcendental Meditation, also known as TM, is a simple technique practiced for about twenty minutes twice per day while sitting comfortably with the eyes closed that allows the mind to settle naturally into a state of deep rest and inner quiet. This state is associated with reduced stress. Researchers have found that when large groups practice TM at the same time measurable changes occur in the surrounding environment.
Mozambique offers a strong example of meditation contributing to peace. During a period of civil conflict President Joaquim Chissano learned TM and later encouraged his cabinet government officials and military personnel to learn it as well. During the time TM was widely practiced the country experienced reduced violence and greater stability. President Chissano stated that meditation helped create the conditions for peace and national reconciliation.
A New Model for Peace
Traditional approaches to peace rely on diplomacy treaties and military strategy. These tools play important roles but they do not address the internal stress and division within individuals that eventually fuel outward conflict. Meditation works at the level where war truly begins, which is the human mind. By reducing stress and supporting pure thoughts, clarity and emotional balance, meditation creates conditions that make peaceful behaviour more natural and sustainable.
